吳永乾理事長接待媒體界菁英宣導仲裁制度CAA Chairman Dr. Joe Y. C. Wu Hosts Taiwanese Media Leaders to Discuss Arbitration Mechanisms


本(112)年11月8日上午臺灣綜合研究院黄輝珍董事長、鏡電視公司鄭優董事長及環宇新聞台黄東烈董事至本會參訪,吳永乾理事長親自接待,並簡報本會業務發展現况及說明仲裁制度的優點。訪賓於聽取簡報後,均表示對於本會推動仲裁機制的成效,印象深刻,並一致認為仲裁能有效解決民商事爭端,特別是複雜的投資、貿易、工程營建、離岸風電和政府採購糾紛。如企業及民眾能有效利用訴訟外解決糾紛機制,定能達到疏減訟源之成效,值得於媒體上廣為宣導。

In a significant meeting on November 8, 2023, Dr. Joe Y. C. Wu, Chairman of the Chinese Arbitration Association (CAA), received warmly distinguished guests from Taiwan's media industry at the CAA's Taipei Office. The meeting included Mr. Hwei-Chen Huang, Chairman of the Taiwan Research Institute (TRI), Mr. Yu Cheng, Chairman of Mirror TV (MNews), and Mr. Tung-Lieh Huang, Director of Global News.
The primary focus of this gathering was Chairman Wu's comprehensive presentation on the intricacies of arbitration mechanisms and the latest advancements within the CAA. The presentation was particularly meaningful highlighting the role of arbitration in efficiently resolving complex disputes in various sectors, including investment, trade, construction, offshore wind power, and government procurement.

Recognizing the critical role media plays in educating the public, the visiting media leaders expressed their agreement on the importance of arbitration. They realized its effectiveness in mitigating the challenges faced by the judicial system due to heavy caseloads. The consensus was that media platforms could play a pivotal role in promoting understanding and acceptance of arbitration as a dispute resolution tool.

This meeting marks a significant step in fostering a broader understanding of arbitration and its benefits, with the potential of media collaboration to enlighten a wider audience about this crucial mechanism in modern dispute resolution.
